Wireless long-range bridge Omada 5 GHz 867 Mb/s
Product Description
TP-Link Beam Bridge 5 UR KIT is a professional wireless bridge kit designed to build stable network connections between remote locations. The device belongs to the Omada SDN ecosystem and enables wireless data transmission in the 5 GHz band at a maximum speed of up to 867 Mb/s.
The set consists of two pre-configured devices that automatically set up a Point-to-Point connection when the power is connected. Thanks to this, the installation of the radio bridge is very fast and does not require complicated configuration. The system is designed to work in long-range installations and enables data transmission over a distance of up to up to 15 kilometers while maintaining a stable signal.
The Beam Bridge 5 UR KIT uses directional antennas with a high gain of 23 dBi, which provide very good signal concentration and allow for connections in demanding field environments. The devices operate in 2×2 MU-MIMO technology, which increases transmission efficiency and improves network efficiency.
The device supports the IEEE 802.11ac standard, offering channel width up to 80 MHz and 256-QAM modulation, making it possible to achieve high transmission bandwidth even at long distances between installation points.
The kit is designed for simple deployment. The Plug and Play function allows you to instantly connect between devices, and the Omada application allows you to precisely position antennas by visualizing the signal strength in real time. In the application, you can also perform a connection speed test and check the correctness of the installation.
The Beam Bridge 5 UR KIT features a gigabit Ethernet port with PoE support, which allows you to transfer data and power with a single network cable. The device supports both the 802.3af PoE and Passive PoE 24 V or 48 V standards, which greatly simplifies installation.
The construction has been prepared to work in demanding external conditions. The housing has a tightness class of IP65, and additional surge protection 6 kV increases the safety of the installation. The device can operate in a very wide temperature range from -40 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for both hot climates and very low temperatures.
The wireless bridge can be managed locally or centrally in the Omada SDN system, which allows you to monitor, configure and manage multiple devices from a single administration panel or mobile application.
The Beam Bridge 5 UR KIT is designed for applications such as:
- network connections between buildings
- IP monitoring and CCTV systems
- industrial networks
- agricultural holdings and facilities away from cable infrastructure
- hotels, tourist resorts and campuses
- installations in difficult terrain (forests, islands, mines)
The most important installation requirements
1. Full optical visibility (Line of Sight – LOS)
There must be direct optical visibility between the two antennas. This means no obstacles such as buildings, trees, poles, steel structures or power lines between installation points. Even partial obscuration of the signal can significantly deteriorate the stability of the connection or reduce its bandwidth.
2. Behavior of the Fresnel zone
In addition to optical visibility alone, it is also important that the space between the antennas is as free from obstacles as possible. Components close to the transmission line can cause reflections and interference to the radio signal.
3. Precise antenna setting
Antennas with a high directional gain (23 dBi) require exact alignment in the axis. Even a slight deviation can lower the signal level. For precise setting, you can use the Antenna Alignment function in the Omada application, which shows the signal level in real time.
4. Stable mounting point
The devices should be mounted on a stable mast or structure that will not move under the influence of wind. Antenna movement can cause signal drops and connection instability.
5. Appropriate installation height
The antenna should be mounted at such a height as to avoid terrain obstacles, such as trees or buildings.
6. Grounding of installation
When installing externally, it is recommended to correctly ground the mast and shielded Ethernet cables to increase the resistance of the installation to atmospheric discharges.
7. Appropriate power cord
To connect the device to the network, use external Ethernet cables of the Cat5e minimum category, preferably shielded (FTP or STP), especially for outdoor installations.
Brief description of installation
Installing the Beam Bridge 5 UR KIT is relatively simple thanks to the factory point-to-point bridge configuration. The devices are already paired, so when you connect the power supply, they automatically set up the connection.
- Mount both devices on masts or mounting structures facing the other location.
- Connect the Ethernet cable from the device to the PoE adapter and then to your router, switch or local network.
- Connect the power to the PoE adapter.
- Once started, the devices will automatically establish a radio connection.
- Use the Omada app to check the signal level and accurately position the antennas for the best connection quality.
After proper setting and configuration, the wireless bridge enables stable data transmission between distant locations even over a distance of several kilometers.
