The Extreme AP510i is an efficient ENTERPRISE class 802.11ax access point at an attractive price, ideal for individual customers and many industries such as retail, education, hospitality and healthcare. These enterprises need to support a large number of IoT users and devices while providing a unique user experience.

AP510i is based on the WiNG 7 operating system. The legendary distributed WiNG architecture places intelligence at the edge of the network, where it unleashes the full capabilities and performance of the 802.11ax standard, without bottlenecks or limitations. WiNG integrates controller functionality at each access point, enabling controllerless networking solutions using a virtual controller that supports up to 64 access points or hardware/VM controllers that support up to 25 000 access points.

Integrated BLE

To support both IoT and Ghost Engagement services, the AP510i integrates Bluetooth, enabling connectivity to IoT devices with Thread Wireless technology or interacting with loyalty program clients using Apple iBeacon. Enterprises can use Google Eddystone to send ads directly to buyers, guests and conference attendees. It’s ideal for businesses to advertise app download pages, authorization portals, or location-specific information.

Management Analytics

Combined with a management system, whether cloud or on-premises, the AP510i offers a very rich set of data displayed through contextual widgets, representing historical data or a combination of historical and current data. This provides detailed contextual analysis with perspective views for location, network, access points, individual client devices and policy roles. In any context, admins can customize dashboards from the widget library.

Radio frequency monitoring

Network managers will appreciate the wide range of radio frequency management (RF) options in their Wi-Fi networks thanks to SmartRF – a robust radio frequency management system with functionality similar to artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML). Based on 10 years of experience in thousands of extensive networks and millions of access points, SmartRF algorithms manage channels, radios, load balancing, bandwidth control and many other radio frequency attributes.

Security

The AP510i provides the highest level of security, starting with support for the latest Wi-Fi Alliance WPA3 security certifications. Additionally, it supports L2-L7 DPI firewall with stateful functionality for context-based access security.

Intelligent sensor

The industry’s first 802.11ax access point with two radio modules and Smart Sensor function, enabling optimal radio management and ensuring the highest level of customer performance while providing continuous radio frequency monitoring to detect safety hazards.

The Smart-Sensor feature of the AP510i, which is covered by the patent application, automates the delivery of ADSP sensors in the customer’s configuration without compromising their safety. This feature intelligently selects and configures the radio at access points, which must act as sensors to ensure the security of the entire location from a wireless network security perspective, reducing the burden on network engineers.

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)

Previous generations of 802.11n, 802.11ac wave 1 and 2 can be considered generational improvements, emphasizing higher speed. 802.11ax technology, on the other hand, increases Wi-Fi performance and speed, taking Wi-Fi networks to a whole new level.
