The FRITZ!Box 7690 provides high-speed Wi-Fi in a DSL connection. With the new Wi-Fi 7 standard, even more users and devices can now enjoy their home network at high speeds at the same time. With Wi-Fi 7, performance in the 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands is better than ever before. The router also features a high-performance WLAN mesh for fast and stable long-distance connections in data-intensive applications, such as on the Internet. E.g. 5 times faster than Wi-Fi 6

Thanks to many improvements to the WLAN standard, transfer speeds of up to 46 Gbit/s gross are possible at the maximum expansion level, which is about 5 times faster than Wi-Fi 6. To clarify the new Wi-Fi 7 technologies, a comparison with the highway is helpful. Wi-Fi 7 is like a new highway where data (trucks) can travel five times faster than the old Wi-Fi 6 highway. This means that the information reaches its destination faster and the transmission time is noticeably shortened.

Disruptions that are practically not annoying

Adjacent Wi-Fi networks or appliances, such as microwave ovens, can cause interference. The "puncture mode" in Wi-Fi 7 specifically isolates interfering frequency ranges. Instead of blocking the entire information highway, only part of it is blocked. The rest remains intact. The puncture resembles a special lane on the highway that allows data packets (trucks) to bypass obstacles. This allows them to use alternative belts to avoid congestion, making data flow more efficient and smooth.

Transmission on multiple tapes simultaneously

Multi-Link Operation (MLO) enables Wi-Fi 7 wireless devices to simultaneously send and receive data across multiple frequency bands. Unlike Wi-Fi 6, which required devices to choose between 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz, MLO acts as a network of multiple interconnected highways. Data packets (trucks) can use multiple routes to reach their destination faster. If there are traffic jams or congestion on one highway, they can switch to another, thereby increasing efficiency.

FRITZ!Box 7690 allows easy integration of Zigbee LED and DECT ULE lamps from different manufacturers, as well as all FRITZ!DECT products with the FRITZ!Box smart home system. All devices can be conveniently and centrally controlled using the FRITZ!App Smart Home app.
