With the MusicCast 20 wireless speaker, you can enjoy the ease of audio playback and versatility of the MusicCast multiroom system with the latest MusicCast Surround and MusicCast Stereo features. MusicCast multiroom technology

The proprietary Yamaha MusicCast multiroom system is a response to the needs of users who want to create intelligent sound system in several rooms. Simply connect all MusicCast devices to the same home wireless network to start sharing audio throughout your home. The entire system and each of the MusicCast devices can be controlled from an easy-to-use application.

Can be used as effect speakers – MusicCast Surround

The MusicCast 20 wireless speaker supports Yamaha’s latest multiroom system feature, MusicCast Surround. This allows the user to use two speakers as rear effect speakers in a home theater system, wirelessly connecting them to a compatible receiver or soundbar. This solution simplifies the installation of the entire system and eliminates the need to run wires throughout the listening room.

Stereo mode when paired with a second MusicCast 20

Two copies of the MusicCast 20 are enough to create a high-end stereo speaker system. This is the result of compatibility of these speakers with the latest MusicCast Stereo feature. As with MusicCast Surround, the speakers connect to each other and a compatible source wirelessly.

Quick Select Buttons

The Yamaha MusicCast 20 is equipped with quick selection buttons. The user can assign to them, for example. selected Internet radio stations. This solution makes it easier to use the device and speeds up access to your favorite music.

Embedded streaming music services

MusicCast 20 provides access to music just after connecting to power and the Internet. This is due to built-in music services such as Tidal, Spotify, Deezer and Qobuz. This solution allows you to stream music without the risk of blocking the functionality of your smartphone or tablet, which are only used to manage music playback.

Spotify Connect for free accounts

Until now, Spotify Connect used in audio and audio-video devices required access to a paid premium account. Yamaha is the first manufacturer of audio and AV equipment to meet the expectations of many millions of Spotify users who have not decided to choose a paid account and introduces the possibility of using the free version of the service.

Working with Google voice assistant

The convenience of Yamaha MusicCast devices increases compatibility with Google Assistant. With it, you can control your audio and audio-video devices by voice without having to reach for a remote control, smartphone or tablet. Google Assistant enables m.in. Turn playback on and off, adjust the volume level, as well as select the rooms where music is played.

Wireless connectivity – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay

Like all devices in the MusicCast family, the MusicCast 20 supports all currently used types of wireless connectivity, i.e. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and AirPlay. Thanks to this, this model can connect to a home router, and also allows you to play music directly from mobile devices, e.g. smartphones or tablets that support Bluetooth and/or AirPlay connectivity.

AirPlay 2 – send music to multiple MusicCast devices simultaneously

With AirPlay 2, users of iPhones, iPads, and Macs can stream music simultaneously to multiple AirPlay 2-compatible receivers, while also playing different songs in multiple rooms. In addition, AirPlay 2 allows you to simultaneously stream video to your TV and stream audio to your Yamaha MusicCast devices. The whole is complemented by cooperation with Siri voice assistant and the ability to control Yamaha devices from the Home app provided by Apple.

Support high-res audio files

Despite its inconspicuous size, MusicCast 20 delivers an engaging sound. The device supports the latest high-resolution formats, m.in. FLAC/WAV/AIFF 192 kHz/24 bits, as well as Apple Lossless 96 kHz/24 bits. Thanks to this, even at home you can enjoy music in high-res quality.

Built-in alarm clock

The functionality of the speaker is enhanced by the built-in alarm. Thanks to it, every day the user can wake up to the sound of his favorite music.
