Weighing in at just 1,07 lbs (485 g), Edge offers incredible performance in an ultra-thin, lightweight and portable mechanical keyboard form factor. The Edge upper housing is made of 3K carbon fiber in an oblique weave (twill), known for its strength and lightness to provide solid protection and at the same time excellent appearance.

In addition, the metallic Edge bottom is made of magnesium alloy, which is more durable and has excellent resistance to high temperature. The Lofree team put a huge effort into refining the optimal internal design. Semi-solid casting was used instead of conventional die-casting, despite higher costs and additional production steps. Eliminating air bubbles through a controlled solidification process helps make Edge reliably stable in terms of uniform density and strength. With its stylish design and corrosion-resistant bottom casing, Edge simply enhances your space.

Impressions under the fingertips.

Based on Flow switches, we have once again pushed the boundaries of how thin Edge can be in collaboration with Kailh. To ensure smooth, even operation of the keys without touch interference, we decided to shorten the total stroke, instead of simply lowering the height of the switches. After rigorous testing and improvements ranging from 2,8mm to 1,0mm, the final total stroke distance of the Kailh POM Switch 2.0 is 2,4mm. Ultra-low-profile Edge design reduces wrist muscle tension, with naturally bent fingers.

The inclined form reduces tension in the muscles of the wrists and forearms – keeping hands and arms in a relaxed position. Keep your wrists in a natural and comfortable position, whether you're sitting or standing, with the innovative hand rest lift feature. Smooth and ultra-precise writing without compromising on speed or accuracy. The fingers glide easily over the matte surface of the keys, while the touch details make it easy to orient your fingers and focus your attention. The split layout and convex curvature promote a more natural positioning of the hands and fingers.

To meet our commitment to creating mechanical keyboards that offer an excellent typing experience in a slimmer and lighter form factor, Edge keyboards feature an innovative PCB-Gasket design. To overcome the challenge of limited space, solder-mounted switches were used, and integrated seals were strategically placed directly on the PCB. Instead of silicone, the inner chamber of the housing is filled with specially formed foam, which is lighter and works great in reducing noise. Edge is the ideal choice for quiet public spaces such as libraries.

Minimal latency, maximum efficiency.

Reject any latency with Edge low-profile mechanical keyboards equipped with a USB-C cable, offering a polling frequency of up to 1000 Hz / 1 ms. This is an eight-fold improvement over the standard 125 Hz, providing responsive response to any command and ensuring that no keystrokes are missed.
