The SDPROG program with the dedicated SDPROG OBD PRO interface is a kit for diagnosing and monitoring vehicle component operating parameters in real-time, such as:

• DPF filter status,
• reading and clearing error codes,
• and troubleshooting tips.

It does NOT perform advanced diagnostic procedures like:

SDPROG is designed mainly for diagnostics and monitoring of vehicle operation. Thanks to him:

2 interface versions were created:

• ➡ SDPROG OBD - is a standard version that supports 2 lines of connection with the car: HS-CAN and K-Line.

This means that the PRO version is able to handle more protocols and modules in the car, as it supports more connection speeds to the car, with which different modules send a signal.

Therefore, for the diagnostics of brands such as Opel, Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda, BAIC and Saab, which use different transfer speeds in different protocols, the SDPROG OBD PRO interface offered at this auction is recommended.

➡ OBDII system is mandatory for cars:

• sold after 1 January 1996 in the USA
• sold after 1 January 2001 in the European Union
• sold after 1 January 2002 in Poland
• Diesel cars sold after 1 January 2004

There is also the possibility that cars sold earlier could also have an OBDII system, but at that time it was not mandatory for manufacturers.

➡ Cars equipped with OBDII system have:

• characteristic 16-pin connector,
• two or more oxygen sensors (probe λ),
• should have a sticker informing about exhaust emissions, which is most often placed in most vehicles under the hood or at the radiator. This sticker has information whether the vehicle is OBDII certified.

The mere possession of a characteristic connector by the vehicle is not an indicator of OBDII system operation - all 3 of the above conditions must be met.

❗ Please also note that some cars with French diesel engines may have problems with OBDII reading (e.g. HDIdCi since 2005). Gasoline engines do not have this problem.

✔ A: The presented kit is not intended for performing adaptations or making changes to vehicle parameters. The kit will be used to diagnose errors at the engine level, clear Check Engine errors and monitor the operation of vehicle components. To make changes to vehicle parameters, advanced diagnostic devices are required, which are much more expensive.

❓Q: How will this kit help me take care of my DPF filter?

✔ A: The kit allows you to monitor the DPF filter condition in real time. The purpose of the program and its interface is to detect any deviations in the filter's operation so that you can take care of it in advance. It will also allow you to control the parameters during the DPF burning process and check how much time has passed since the last filter burning.

❓Q: Can I perform diagnostics in service mode in any car with this kit?

✔ A: Currently, service mode is available for 48 brands that are listed in the auction content. The manufacturer is constantly working on increasing this number with periodic updates. ❓Q: What is the difference between SDPROG OBD and SDPROG OBD PRO interface?

✔ A: SDPROG OBD PRO interface supports more connection lines - HSCAN, MSCAN, SWCAN and K-Line, so it offers greater compatibility with problematic car brands such as Opel, Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda, BAIC and Saab, and SDPROG OBD interface only supports 2 connection lines - HSCAN and K-Line. In general, the principle of selecting the right interface is simple - if you intend to diagnose Opel, Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda or Saab - you should choose the OBD PRO interface, because it will support more modules in these brands. If you will not be diagnosing them, the standard version of the OBD interface will be enough for you.

❓Q: Can I code mirrors, lamps and other parameters with this kit?

✔ A: No. Using SDPROG you cannot set the vehicle's operating parameters - you can monitor them and detect any engine errors, including resetting the Check Engine light. When SDPROG detects an error, it also suggests what may be causing it and how to fix it. The program is mainly used for diagnostics and error reading. Advanced diagnostic equipment is required to make changes to vehicle parameters.

We would like to point out, however, that SDPROG - like any electronic device - has its own specificity and the presence of a given car on the compatibility list does not provide a full guarantee of trouble-free connection . Therefore, before activating the full program license from the scratch card included in the set, we encourage you to check whether your vehicle will connect to the application - just select the "Check DEMO version" option.

❓Q: Can I buy just the SDPROG program if I already have the interface?

✔ A: Yes, it is possible to purchase only the SDPROG program. You will find it in our other auctions. Nevertheless, to ensure that the interface will connect to the application, we recommend using the dedicated SDPROG interface. Therefore, before purchasing the program itself, make sure that your interface is compatible with the application , e.g. by using the DEMO version directly in the application downloaded from the manufacturer's website or from the Google Play / App Store.

❓Q: What can I check in the DEMO version of the program?

✔ A: The demo version of SDPROG allows you to verify whether the device will connect to the car. To use the full functionality of the program, you must activate the license.

❓Q: Does SDPROG have to be dedicated to a specific vehicle brand?

✔ A: No. SDPROG program works universally with most brands compatible with OBDII protocol.

❓Q: How many devices can I install the program on?

✔ A: The SDPROG program itself can be installed on many different types of devices (smartphone/tablet) with Android or iOS operating system - in principle, there is no limit to the number of devices on which the application can be installed. However, remember that one license allows use on 2 devices at the same time .

❓Q: Do I have to renew my license?

✔ A: No. The SDPROG program license is lifetime and its updates are free.

❓Q: Can I leave the interface permanently connected to the OBDII connector?

✔ A: The interfaces have an automatic shutdown function after 30 minutes after the ignition is turned off. Once the car is restarted, the interface starts automatically. The entire process requires individual verification by the user. Nevertheless, we do not recommend leaving the interface connected in the diagnostic connector.

❓Q: I'm having problems connecting to the interface. What to do?

✔ A: Make sure you have turned on the ignition in your car and the appropriate communication mode has been selected in the program settings. If you still experience problems, it is worth restarting the connected device (e.g. smartphone) and remove the interface from the OBDII connector, and then repeat the entire connection procedure.
