Excellent performance on wet and dry surfaces

An accompanying article in Auto Bild Allrad magazine highlighted the significant potential benefits of all-season tyres – namely the time and money savings of not having to change to winter or summer tyres twice a year – and how important it is that the tyres meet the strict criteria related to continental European weather conditions. According to the authors, the test results show that the evolution of the leading all-season tyres has gone in the right direction. As an example, they cited the excellent performance of the Vredestein Quatrac on both dry and wet surfaces, without sacrificing performance when driving in the snow.

Exceptional tyre

The study included fourteen categories in three groups: “snow”, “wet surface” and “dry surface”. As in previous years, performance tests on snow were conducted by Auto Bild Allrad at a large indoor winter tyre testing facility in the Finnish city of Ivalo, north of the Arctic Circle. In the final evaluation, the Vredestein Quatrac was described as “a model all-season tyre with impressive performance on snow and ice, high aquaplaning resistance, excellent wet and dry grip, short braking distances on dry surfaces [and] low rolling resistance”. These words are a tribute to the unique tyre with excellent technical characteristics.
