BC BRAVO 2000+ is a charger designed for perfect and complete maintenance of all traditional 12V batteries (lead-acid and AGM) from 1,2 Ah to 100 Ah.

The BC BRAVO 2000+ acts as a battery and alternator tester, is able to renew sulphurized batteries, recover 1,25 V batteries (the lowest level on the market), and is also designed for use in vehicles equipped with “Microhybrid” start/stop systems.

Thanks to its intrinsically safe (anti-spark) system and protection against overloads, polarity reversal and short circuits, the BC BRAVO 2000+ provides a high level of protection that has been tested on all car brands, ensuring absolute compatibility with the electronic system of every car.

Also equipped with a state-of-the-art microprocessor inside, the product is able to guarantee extreme battery charging performance and reduce power consumption to a minimum.

Being fully automatic, the chargers and battery maintainers of the BC Battery Controller series can be left connected to the battery 24 hours a day / 7 days a week for months, even for years in complete safety.

CHARGING ALGORITHM - CHARGING PROGRAM

The battery charger is equipped with an internal microprocessor that checks the battery status in real time and performs 8 charging cycles on its own.

• Phase 1 - Initialization: Check that the battery is in optimal condition for recharging/recovery, making sure there are no short circuits between at least one battery cell.

• Phase 2 - Regeneration: if the battery is in an extreme state of discharge (starting from 1,25 V), the device tries to carry out regeneration in order to raise it to higher voltages, consistent with the next phase.

• Phase 3 - Light charging: If the battery is very discharged, the device provides a light pulse current to allow the battery to pass through the critical phase.

• Phase 4 - main charging: in this phase, the battery can recover up to 85-90% of its capacity thanks to the charger's ability to deliver full current.

• Phase 5 - Desulfurization / Absorption: In this phase, in order to restore the remaining 10-15% of the battery capacity, the device provides “controlled overcharging” by desulfurization / recovery of lead-acid cells (for mild to medium sulphation levels).

• Phase 6 - Battery analysis: the device interrupts the power supply for several dozen minutes and checks whether the battery is able to maintain the charge received during previous cycles.

This phase is repeated periodically at regular intervals.

• Phase 7 - Maintenance: With a specially designed electronic system, the device keeps the battery charged during periods of inactivity, without overheating, overcharging and water/electrolyte loss.

• Phase 8 - Alignment: This phase is carried out every 30 days to balance the battery cells, thus avoiding the phenomenon of electrolyte delamination.
