Designed for ordinary and maintenance charging of batteries: lead-acid 12V open or closed type (e.g. WET batteries - with electrolyte in liquid form, GEL - with electrolyte in gel form, or AGM - with electrolyte absorbing mat).

The AGRI 30 12V rectifier operates in a four-stage mode. This is particularly important in the case of batteries that are significantly discharged or not used for a long time.

Pre-charging is particularly important for batteries that are significantly discharged or not used for a long time. In this mode, the rectifier stimulates the battery with low current in order to safely restore its parameters enabling charging in normal mode. Then the rectifier will automatically go to charging according to subsequent modes. The last mode is maintenance charging. When the battery is fully charged, the rectifier will turn off the charging indicator light and the fan, and turn on the “Recharge – Maintenance” light. At this point, the battery is ready for use, it can be mounted in the vehicle. If the battery needs to be stored, the rectifier will then operate in backup mode, keeping the battery in the maximum charge state for the entire storage period.

The rectifier has a number of protections such as:

• short-circuit protection,
• protection against reverse connection of poles,
• protection against overheating,
• protection against overcharging,
• protection against charging damaged or completely discharged batteries.

The protections used in the rectifier allow you to charge the battery without removing it from the vehicle and even start the engine while charging the battery (representing a slight boost in the start).
