HD 800S absorption technology

The improved sound reproduction quality has been achieved in this model thanks to the innovative absorber technology known from the pioneering IE 800 in-ear headphones. This system provides very high frequency audibility by limiting the so-called. “masking effect.” This is a phenomenon that causes the human ear to hear frequencies covered by lower frequencies with higher volume levels worse. Sennheiser's patented absorption system prevents unwanted peaks and allows you to hear all the components of the frequency response - even the smallest details. With this innovation, the IE 800 are the best sounding in-ear headphones in the world, and with the HD 800S, it helps you achieve an even higher level of precision and clarity. These improvements were made to the well-known HD 800 project, which includes the largest drivers currently produced in dynamic headphones (56 mm diameter). The specially designed ear cup directs sound waves directly to the ear, using a precisely set angle. Thanks to this, the sound of these headphones is extremely natural and spacious.
