Audeze LCD-5s are the latest flagship planar headphones, constituting the evolution of the acclaimed LCD-5 model. A key innovation is the use of SLAM (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology, which significantly improves low frequency control and spatial precision without adversely affecting the transparency of the diameter. The headphones use 90mm planar drivers with a Parallel Uniforce™ nanometer diaphragm, Fluxor™ magnets and Fazor™ waveguides for ultra-low distortion (below 0,1%) and a frequency response extending from 5 Hz to 50 kHz.

The LCD-5s also features a refreshed design and improved comfort. The design is based on a lightweight magnesium and carbon fiber chassis, and the new ear rings are made of tortoiseshell-look acetate with copper accents. The newly contoured leather pads provide better pressure distribution and sealing, which is crucial for the efficiency of SLAM technology. Despite their slightly higher weight (475 g) compared to their predecessor, the LCD-5s offer improved ergonomics, making them an ideal tool for mastering engineers and audiophiles seeking uncompromising realism.
