SMARTPASS is an energy management team that controls and optimizes the energy produced by alternators, solar cells, wind power or conventional AC/DC chargers. It distributes energy to battery packs or receivers that need energy, such as deep cycle batteries, bow thruster batteries, receivers, etc. When used together with the D250S DUAL, SMARTPASS ensures optimal charging through a unique CTEK phased charging cycle, which also protects the user’s batteries. SMARTPASS also features built-in battery protection that protects deep cycle batteries from harmful total discharge and ensures that critical equipment such as radios, emergency lights and navigation systems will always work. SMARTPASS has a temperature sensor that protects the batteries from high temperatures.

SMARTPASS is a fully automatic energy management system that can handle currents up to 80 A for charging batteries with capacities in the range of 28 to 800 Ah. This energy management system has IP65 protection class (protection against water and dust splashes, approved for outdoor use). Suitable for all types of 12V lead-acid batteries.

The combination of D250S DUAL and SMARTPASS guarantees optimal battery charging. SMARTPASS manages the transmission of energy through the D250S DUAL, which in turn transforms and produces an optimal voltage of 14,4 V, even if the alternator gives only 14 V.

TECHNOLOGY BATTERY WATCH (Battery monitoring)

The built-in Battery Watch CTEK technology enables SMARTPASS to make full use of most of the energy generated (up to 95 %) and distributes energy that supports battery batteries, bow thruster batteries and electrical equipment such as navigation systems. The SMARTPASS device properly manages and distributes energy, directing it where it is needed most. This ensures that the working batteries are protected against deep discharge, thus ensuring optimal service life of the batteries and reducing the frequency and need for regular traditional charging.

PROTECTION AGAINST HIGH TEMPERATURES

The SMARTPASS device has a sensor that detects the temperature of the battery and limits the charging current at high battery temperatures.

SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION

SMART PASS eliminates the need for multi-output assemblies. All batteries can be charged and maintained via this unit The SMART PASS converts a 110/230 V charger with one output into a unit that supports both the working and starting battery.
