Renewal mode - Reconditioning
The lead-acid battery is insufficiently charged or discharged for days or weeks by sulphation. If you notice this in time, you can partially reverse the sulphation process by charging the battery at low current and high voltage.
Regeneration of fully discharged batteries
Most chargers with reverse polarity protection will not recognize polarity and thus will not charge the battery that has been discharged to zero or almost zero Volts. Blue Power chargers charge a fully discharged low current battery and resume normal charging when sufficient voltage is obtained at the battery terminals.

The Blue Power IP65 charger activates storage mode whenever the battery/battery is not subject to any discharge within 24 hours. In energy storage mode, the liquid voltage is reduced to 2,2V/battery cell (13,2V for 12V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion at the positive poles of the battery. Once a week, the voltage is raised to the absorption voltage to equalize the purpose of the battery. This prevents electrolyte delamination and battery sulfurization – considered to be the main causes of premature aging of batteries.
Temperature compensation of the charging process
The optimal charging voltage of the lead-acid battery changes with the change in ambient temperature. The Blue Power IP65 charger measures air humidity and temperature during the test phase and adjusts the charging process to the ambient temperature. It measures the temperature again when it is in low current charging mode, during operation or storage. Special settings for the environment cold or hot, so they are not needed.
Lithium-ion battery charging mode (Li-ion)
The Blue Power IP65 controller uses a special algorithm to charge lithium-ion batteries (LiFePO4), with automatic restart of protection against too low a charge level.
